Gazrok's Financial Review : Volume I (11/08/2016)

Welcome to the November 8th Review! In this first edition we will discuss exactly what the Financial Review is about and what I hope to accomplish by creating this content. My goal for this publication is to be a learning experience for all but on a level for everyone, including beginners, to understand. It is easy to look at the stock market, credit card statements, bank statements or even a basic budget spreadsheet and feel icredibly overhwhelmed, but the first thing you should know is that you're not alone. Recent surveys have concluded that nearly 60% of Americans have less than $1,000 saved and almost 1/3 of those surveyed don't even have a savings account.

Once a week we will focus on the buliding blocks of personal finance and some easy steps you can take to change your financial direction for the better. If you are a younger reader I hope to offer some tips on how to start off on the right path from the beginning. It is a proven fact that the earlier you start, the easier it is to achieve financial success.

Each week I will also include a section in the Review which focuses on a current event and how, in my opinion, it could affect your money. Whether it's the election, an international incident, a major company merger or even a new hamburger offering from the local fast food chain, it is good to try and interpret news of all kinds based on how it could impact your finances. Check back next week when we will dive into some important information about taking inventory of your finances and planning the first part of your trip to financial awareness.
